I was recently thumbing through a book (How To Be Interesting) and came across an engaging line:
I continued reading, but my mind kept coming back to this line. I finally sat and thought about ordinary things and how I have no idea what goes into most of them.
I was drinking a cup of coffee, but I don’t know the first thing about growing coffee beans. What about the intricate processes going on in the computer as I typed this? Again, no idea how any of that works.
It’s crazy to think that we’ll never even scratch the surface of what can be learned in a lifetime.
The next time “bored” thoughts start creeping into your mind, remember this line. Think of something you’d like to know more about and start googling or pick up a book. We literally have unlimited information at the touch of our fingertips.
Stay curious. We only get to do this once.Β
You are right !

I’ve always thought of the million books out there that are being written, and the tiny some I’ve already read, a few more that I will someday read, and yet I won’t reach even half of the whole of them. Books are like stars, emitting light. You think you’ve seen the star, but you’ve really only seen the light that left the star years ago. And even as you’re looking at it, it’s seeming out light, that’ll teach you only years later. Overwhelming no?

Yes, very overwhelming! I hate the thought of not being able to read all of them! Lol

Going to the library used to depress me because I knew I would never be able to read all those books. Then I discovered it is all in the Bible. The reading, musing, experiencing, fellowshipping will never be exhausted just continuing for eternity.

And this is why I am NEVER bored. Ever. I never have a time where I say, “I’m bored”. There is always something to do and something to learn and I just love that about life! It really makes the world go round and keeps it so very interesting. Great post. Take care and have a great weekend! Koko π
