At first glance, things often seem one way. Delve a litter deeper, however, and we soon realize things are often not as they appear.
Take the media for example. If you watch three different sources of news, you will most likely get three different points of view. They all hold bits of truth, but they each omit details that don’t advance their goals — obviously a form of deception. The same is true for individuals.
Everyone has an agenda.
You frequently see this play out on social media. People are very good at putting up a front — fabricating the truth to make it seem like their lives are much better than they actually are.
“Deceiving others. That is what the world calls a romance.”-Oscar Wilde
But don’t take everything you see or hear at face value. It’s okay to look closer — you may not be getting the whole story.

Everything is so variable that some sort of “objective” or “absolute” truth seems intangible for the most part.
