It’s funny what can happen when you explore things a little deeper. I was actually trying to get this bridge from the side, showing the columns in the golden hour of the sun.
Because of trees and thick undergrowth, I couldn’t get the angle that I envisioned in my head. I wandered beneath the bridge to hopefully find something interesting —this is what I found.
Take away: when you think all is lost, dig a little deeper. You never know what lies beneath.
Here’s a lower perspective in black and white showing more of the water. I like the uniqueness of the colors in the first picture, but I love the contrast of the monochrome. Which one do you like best?
I LOVE this picture! Sometimes what we want isn’t granted, but what we end up getting can turn out even better!

I had to smile and my own incorrect interpretation of what I just saw. On first glance it looked like a passage in a historic building possibly in Turkye and I found it interesting that they polish the floor while not painting the pillars and was going to remark to that it actually enhances the photo. Well upon reading your description… I must agree that the sun shining on the river does enhance the picture!!

That’s okay, Abrie. At first glance it really does look like a hallway! I’m glad you took a second look, that’s the theme of the post: delving a little deeper! Thanks for reading!

At first glance I also thought it was a picture of a hallway in an old European building. Good shot. Very interesting.

I didn’t see it at first, but it really does resemble a hallway! Thanks for taking a look, Paul Lynn!

Two great captures. I thought it was a hallway in an old building at first, as well! I love the reflections on the water in the b&w image but the gorgeous golden shades in the first image make it my favourite of the two. 🙂

I think I like the tones of the color picture as well. But, the B&W photo is growing on me! Idk why, but I love B&W photos. Anyway, thanks for taking a look! 😊

Definitely the b&w! It’s more dramatic and has beautiful b&w tonal range

Excellent shots. I prefer the colour one as it feels more centred.

Thank you, sir! Yes I agree, the photo in color does appear to be more in the center. I appreciate your input! 😊
